About the Artist

KNL Ceramics is the evolving studio practice of Oklahoma-based artist Kristen Lary.

What began as a curiosity about clay quickly became something much larger: a way of paying closer attention. Through both sculptural and functional work, KNL Ceramics explores nature, lived experience, experimentation, storytelling, and the quiet delight of handmade objects.

Much of the work is rooted in lived experience. No matter the situation, everyday moments are viewed with curiosity, mixed with humor, and executed through play.

The studio practice is still unfolding, with each firing, glaze test, and experiment becoming part of the larger story. KNL Ceramics embraces both process and discovery, allowing room for mistakes, surprises, and evolution along the way.
